Our History

Our history dates back to 1974, when Brady Creel joined the Franklin Life Insurance Company as a field agent in Dalton, GA. Brady worked with individuals and businesses to create insurance and retirement portfolios with a focus on serving educators and small businesses.

Because of his successes in the field, Brady was then invited to the home office of Franklin Life Insurance Company, in Springfield, Illinois, to serve as a "Superintendent of agents". The Superintendent of agents was a national trainer and recruiting program, which served as an entry way into the Regional Managers program at Franklin Life Insurance Company.

Brady was then promoted to the role of the Regional Manager of Tennessee for Franklin Life Insurance Company. Based out of Franklin, Tennessee from 1980-1995, he grew the "Southern Express" region into one of the largest in country with over 150 agents. He continued his personal practice in Franklin, Tennessee working with individuals and businesses with a special focus on planning for educators and administrators.

In 1995, Franklin Life Insurance Company was purchased by American General and Brady was selected to be the Senior Vice President of Marketing for the "Agency Building Group" of American General. He traveled back to Springfield Illinois where he oversaw a field force of over 2500 agents, including "Franklin Financial Services" which is now merged into Osaic Wealth.

In the year 2000, American General was purchased by AIG and Brady became the regional manager of the Indiana Region for AIG/American General. In Indiana, Brady continued to recruit, train and mentor agents, while growing his own personal practice.

In 2005, Brady returned to the Chattanooga, Tennessee / Dalton, Georgia area to rebuild the Southern Express Financial Group and continue his personal financial services practice. The Southern Express Financial Group consists of over 50 representatives in 8 states.
